I had the opportunity to see the new Daren Aronofsky film The Fountain yesterday.

In the film, the Tomas / Tommy / Tom Creo character tattoos his wedding ring finger out of desperation during present time. In the future time, he tattoos both his arms (full sleeves) with rings which stand for time passed by since his wife passes away. He tattoos himself in a crude, old fashion way-with a pen that his wife gave him as she was dying of cancer. The ink is composed of bark from the Tree of Life, and herself as well.

Please go see this film when it comes out the 22nd.

The latest episode of Robot Chicken features a tattoo related shot for Stoopid Monkey.

In the new Superman Returns, one of Lex Luthor's henchmen, who attacks Lois Lane, has the back of his head 'tattooed' with an evil clown.

The new Motorola KRAZR ads feature an Asian / Pacific Islander woman with a koi 'tattooed' on her right upper arm. The ad implies that her tattoo makes her 'crazy awesome.' You can see this giant ad on a building opposite Penn Station at 34th St. & 8th Ave.
